Taylor Short of Software Advice said, “The most surprising piece of research we found was that a large majority of fleet managers still use manual methods for their operations, but it’s beginning to change as managers recognize the multitude of comprehensive systems (that are available) today.”
Buyers’ Current Fleet Maintenance Management Methods
As illustrated above, 60 percent of those looking to purchase a fleet management solution said they currently use manual methods (such as paper files and spreadsheets) to keep track of their fleets. According to the report, maintenance, asset tracking and work order capabilities were most commonly requested by fleet management system buyers.
