Pedigree Technologies CEO Alex Warner was recently interviewed by Jason Spiess of Building the Bakken about the impact of technology in the oil and gas industry.

Warner added that the oil and gas industry is “adopting technology pretty radically.” In fact, some of the technologies Pedigree uses originated in the oil and gas industry, typically referred to as SCADA (Supervisor Control and Data Acquisition systems).
“We’re kinda like a SCADA on steroids,” Warner said. “If we can use technologies to monitor, track, manage equipment and streamline logistics with cellular networks and data networks – everyone wants to make the whole oil and gas delivery process and service process very streamlined and so the educational market is already there.”
