What Are Driver Safety Scorecards?

A driver scorecard is a way of measuring the performance of drivers. Driver scorecards take into account dangerous or negligent behaviors, letting fleet safety managers monitor training progress and if decide if more training and guidance is necessary. This ensures proper operating and safety procedures are being followed. Driver scorecards generally refer to safety, though outside of safety scorecards there are still other ways to monitor driver or fleet efficiency, as well.

These risky behaviors measured on a driver’s scorecard include things like speeding, distracted driving, or aggressive braking/acceleration.
