Battery life varies depending on the type of device in use and the number of readings taken per day. A satellite device taking one reading per day will last roughly one year. Batteries on a cellular device last an average of five years when doing one reading per day.

Yes, units can be transferred to another unit if you sell or retire an asset. While you are able to move the unit between pieces of equipment freely, it is not recommended that you do so. Switching back and forth between assets will provide an inaccurate history report within OneView.

The number of readings per day is set by you, as are the times that readings are reported. Increasing the number of readings per day will cause a reduction in battery life.
